Fluxo have appointed Marcos "tacitus" Castilho as the new head coach of their Counter-Strike team, he confirmed on Thursday. The Brazilian will fill a position that has been vacant since Joaquin "lokomotioN" Abasolo's departure in February.

This will be tacitus' first head coaching role since his time with Triumph, who hired him initially as an analyst before promoting him to head coach. He went on to work for FURIA as an assistant coach between July 2021 and December 2022 — guiding the team during their playoff runs at the Majors in Stockholm and Antwerp — and for MIBR as a strategic coach between January 2023 and March 2024.

"I'm flattered to be part of this organization and to be able to work together with this team, and very excited to represent this legion of fans," tacitus wrote on X.

"After three years as an assistant coach, I am returning to a head coaching role extremely prepared to take this project to the next level, together with everyone here."

The announcement came in the middle of Fluxo's run in the South American closed qualifier for the Esports World Cup, though he noted that he will only start working with the team "in the next few days." Fluxo finished the qualifier in fourth place following 2-1 defeats to Imperial and paiN.

Fluxo now have:

Brazil Vinicios "PKL" Coelho

Brazil Vinicius "vsm" Moreira

Brazil Lucas "Lucaozy" Neves

Brazil Romeu "zevy" Rocco

Brazil Richard "chay" Seidy
